We want to give every client our full and undivided attention when picking out the perfect cupcakes or cake for this momentous occasion so yes, appointments are necessary. We would hate for you drive the distance to our Bakery in hopes of discussing an event only to find that we are unavailable to meet with you on the spot.
Consultations are held Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. by appointment only. Saturday appointments are the most sought after so please be sure to book your Saturday appointment at least one month in advance.
All appointments need to be made by calling the Bakery. We will need some helpful information so that we could better serve you at the time of your consultation and talking to you over the phone is the most efficient way for us to do so. You must have your wedding date set, a venue in place, an approximate guest count and important design details like color scheme picked out. We do not accept appointments via e-mail.
Peak wedding season is April through September (our busiest months are May, June, September, October and December). If your wedding date falls within the peak season, we suggest you book at least three to six months in advance of your date. You can book your wedding cake/cupcake tower up to one year in advance as long as you have secured your date and your venue.
Since you wedding cupcakes/cake are such an important part of your big day, we really like to get an idea of your style, taste and what your décor will be like. We ask that you bring in any and all inspirational material to your consultation… an invitation, color swatch, photos of cakes and/or cupcakes that you like, etc.
Our cakes or cupcakes towers are custom design for each individual event. We can give you a quick estimate to make sure we are within budget, but a consultation would be needed to actually design your cake and/or cupcakes and to give an accurate price quote.
We know that a delicious dessert is an important part of your big day, so we offer a few different price points for cupcakes and cakes. To put it simply, cakes and cupcakes that are more detailed are more expensive.
Certain cake designs require the use of fondant. Depending on what you’d like your cake to look like will determine if you NEED to use fondant. Weather is also a huge factor. Fondant holds up much better in warmer weather so if you are dreaming of a tiered cake and your wedding is in the summer, fondant will be the way to go.
You certainly have the ability to change your order up until two weeks prior to your due date. It is at that point that your order details cannot be changed. In the past we have found that more the times you change your order, the more confusing it gets for everyone. So we ask that major changes are made one time prior to your deadline.
We recommend ordering at least one cupcake per person. Please know that if you offer multiple flavors, there will be many guests who just can’t resist trying the other flavor so you may want to order a few extra.
We have many different sized towers, and you will be assigned a tower depending on the amount of cupcakes needed. The smallest cupcake tower that we offer will hold 36-40 cupcakes. Any amount less than that would not require a stand rental. We do, however, sell foil disposable towers in our Bakery that hold up to 24 cupcakes.
All cake designs are custom and are tailored to each client’s needs and desires. We will work with you to create a cake that is unique to you and your wedding day. You may bring along photos of cakes that you like, and you are welcome to look through our online cake gallery to choose cake designs that stand out to you.
We offer delivery up to a 30 mile radius from our shop for 3-tiered cakes or larger as well as cupcake towers. Deliveries for distances outside that radius will be at our discretion.
